Ellis Williams Identity
Ellis Williams is an architectural practice with a passion for creating great buildings and spaces that combine functionality with creativity. Through a collaborative approach, each project is handled differently according to the client’s needs – a process of dialogue with the client that helps answer every brief perfectly and create a sense of individuality in every job. Our mission was to update their old identity to show their way of work.
First, a series of strategy meetings arrived at three core brand words: relevant, contextual creativity. With this as my benchmark, I came up with a flexible logo and identity that plays with the elements of itself – the LL of ‘Ellis’ and ‘Williams’. Expanding and contracting to fit any medium, they respond to their surrounding context. Removing the dots from the ‘i’ gave the logo an architectural feel, reminiscent of a cityscape.
